Day 22 — Brooding continues, many feedings

Today marks the first full day of brooding, with five nestlings in the cup. The female remained on the nest for much of the day, as expected during this early stage. The first activity was recorded at 00:01, and the last at 23:59, indicating continuous presence through the night.

The male made a total of 11 visits to the nest, with confirmed feeding visits occurring at 06:52 and 08:22, among others. The busiest hour for activity was 06:00, with 24 frames captured.

Highlight of the day

At 06:52 PT, a House Finch nest, constructed of twigs and debris, contains several nestlings, one of which is being fed by an adult with a reddish head.
